Dogs are friendly creatures. They wouldn?t be called ?A Man?s Best Friend? for no reason. Koda though took friendly to a whole new level with his bizarre friendship with a buck.
It all started on December 20, 2018, when Rachell Howatt?s dog, Koda went missing. Koda was living in a cattle ranch in Manitoba, Winnipeg with Rachel?s mother. After three days of looking though, she suddenly showed up unharmed. They were very thankful nothing bad happened to her and they thought it will be a forever mystery on what happened on those three days. But that?s what they thought.
A few days after the incident, one of their neighbors, Garry Suderman, who just came back from vacation was surprised by what he saw on the camera on his cabin. It was a Koda together with a wild deer. On the footage, it was clearly seen that Koda was befriending the wild animal, they touched noses, and at one point they were even napping together.
The news regarding the bizarre footage on Garry?s camera, traveled fast and eventually got to Rachell. Rachell didn?t believe the news at first but when she saw the footage herself, she found it amusing that she even shared it on Facebook.
Truly those footages are weird and amusing at the same time. Koda and her new friend seemed to be so close. It is evident though that the deer was wounded and one of its antlers was broken. Garry thinks that Koda might have attacked the deer but had second thoughts and ended becoming friends with it. That part I think will be a mystery.
Today Koda still disappears for a few hours and Rachell?s guess is she goes off to spend some time with his new-found friend. It?s safe to say that they love each other?s company. We might find it uncommon, weird or bizarre, but Koda shows us how differences should not be in the way of friendship.
